Staying in Glacier proper means you can walk to dinner — a rarity up here. Chair 9 for pizza, the bakery for pre-dawn coffee, the Public Service Center for maps and trail beta. Cabins are a mix of older A-frames and newer builds on wooded lots just off the highway, most within five minutes of the middle of town. It is the easiest base for a group where not everyone skis.
